A couple of local Judokas from the Jukado Judo Club under the guidance of sensei Ivan Steyn, reaped the rewards for all their hard work during the year.

Sensei Steyn took the students through their grading paces on the 21st of September in Tzaneen. Steyn said it took the students between six to eight months to prepare for their gradings.

The students who all passed their gradings successfully were Conner Beukes King (2nd Mon Kyu yellow belt), Topher Beukes King (3rd Mon Kyu yellow belt), Lia Thompson (yellow belt) and Mia Zeni (2nd Mon Kyu yellow belt).

New judo members are welcome to join sensei Steyn and the other students.

The Jukado Judo Club practices on Mondays and Wednesdays from 18:00 until 19:15 and is situated at the Laeveld Dutch Reformed Church in Claude Wheatly Street, right opposite HI-Q Tire Fitment Centre and Tzaneen Technical College. The club will host open practice sessions on Saturdays from 08:00 until 12:00.
