The Tzaneen Cancer Care Centre has a Care Group in its midst that truly adds value to those in need of specialized care within their community. They would like to inform Tzaneen of their two upcoming events that should not be missed.

The Tzaneen Care group will be hosting free information evenings at Tzaneen Cancer Care Centre in Aqua Park. The Health and Wellness Information Evening is scheduled for the 20th of July at 18:00 and will be held at 36 Maritz Street, the Tzaneen Cancer Care Centre.

Ulrike Bleuler will address everyone on healthy eating habits. She is a registered dietician practicing in Tzaneen and possesses a wealth of knowledge that she is willing to share.

Sasha Drewett is a registered Pilates practitioner as well as a Breathworks Coach. She will elaborate on the importance of breathing correctly.

Gail Zaayman is a former physiotherapist, currently focusing on bereavement counselling and a registered TRE (tension and trauma release exercise) facilitator. She will discuss the effect of trauma on the body and touch on trauma release exercises to help one cope with trauma.

The Tzaneen Care Group understands how daunting a cancer diagnosis and treatment can be. This care group want patients and families to know that they are not alone and they do not have to face their challenges on their own. The support group is scheduled for the 27th of July at 18:00, also at 36 Maritz Street.

It will be facilitated by Margie Schlebush who holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and an Honours Degree in Psychology from North-West University and a Professional Counselling Qualification from Helios Counselling.

She is registered with the Council for Counsellors South Africa (CCSA) and continually updates her knowledge and techniques through continuous training and research. Schlebush is also a certified TRE Provider. There is no charge to attend the Support Group. Those keen on attending can RSVP to 083 635 4132 or admin@tzaneencaregroup.co.za for catering purposes.
